Star Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal Set to Continue with Mumbai
Indian cricket’s rising star Yashasvi Jaiswal has officially withdrawn his No Objection Certificate (NOC) request, putting to rest speculation about a move to Goa. The left-handed opener, who had initially expressed his intent to switch states ahead of the 2025–26 domestic season, will now remain a part of Mumbai’s setup. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) confirmed this update following an Apex Council meeting held on Monday, June 30.
In an official statement, the MCA said, “The Apex Council has approved the withdrawal of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) that had been earlier requested by Yashasvi Jaiswal to represent another state. He will continue to be available for Mumbai.”
MCA President Ajinkya Naik further emphasized the significance of Jaiswal’s decision, saying, “Yashasvi has always been a proud product of Mumbai cricket. We have accepted his withdrawal NOC application, and he will be available for Mumbai in the forthcoming domestic season.”
