Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Trophy Tour Set to Arrive in Bengaluru

Following its successful stop in Dubai, the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Trophy Tour is set to arrive in Bengaluru this Friday. The trophy will first visit the Karnataka Institute of Cricket (KIOC), a renowned center for developing young female cricketers, before heading to Mumbai on September 10.

Fans in Bengaluru will have the chance to view the trophy at Nexus Mall on September 7 and 8. It will then move to Infinity Mall in Malad, Mumbai, where it will be displayed on September 14 and 15.

After its tour of India, the trophy will travel to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh before returning to the UAE for the tournament’s opening on October 3. This year’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup has been relocated to the UAE from Bangladesh due to ongoing political unrest in the original host country.

The highly anticipated Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to begin on October 3rd. Following a venue shift from Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates, the tournament will now be held in the UAE. Here is the complete schedule for Team India in this prestigious ICC event:

India’s squad for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 includes Harmanpreet Kaur as captain and Smriti Mandhana as vice-captain. The team features players such as Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Richa Ghosh (wicketkeeper). Yastika Bhatia (wicketkeeper), Pooja Vastrakar, Arundhati Reddy, Renuka Singh Thakur, Dayalan Hemalatha, Asha Sobhana, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, and Sajana Sajeevan complete the squad.

The travelling reserves are Uma Chetry (wicketkeeper), Tanuja Kanwar, and Saima Thakor. Raghvi Bist and Priya Mishra will serve as non-travelling reserves.
