The season includes high-profile bilateral series across all formats, featuring Australia, England, West Indies, and South Africa visiting New Zealand. The White Ferns, New Zealand’s women’s team, also have a significant role to play, with landmark white-ball series scheduled against Zimbabwe and South Africa in the new year.
High-Profile Men’s Fixtures Set the Tone for the Summer
New Zealand Men to Face Top Cricketing Nations at Home
The Blackcaps will open their season with a three-match T20I series against Australia, beginning October 1 at Bay Oval. This Trans-Tasman showdown will serve as a curtain-raiser to what promises to be a summer filled with elite-level cricket.
Following Australia’s visit, England will arrive for three T20Is (starting October 18) and three ODIs (from October 26). Matches will be held at iconic venues such as Hagley Oval, Eden Park, and Seddon Park, offering fans from various regions the chance to see top-tier action.
Later, the West Indies will embark on a multi-format tour comprising five T20Is, three ODIs, and a three-match Test series, beginning November 5. The Test series, starting December 6, will be a significant moment for New Zealand’s red-ball unit and marks one of the marquee events of the home summer.

Women’s Cricket Takes Center Stage in 2026
White Ferns to Host Zimbabwe and South Africa
The White Ferns, returning from their ICC Women’s ODI World Cup campaign in India and Sri Lanka, will commence their home season in February 2026. A historic three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe Women—their first-ever bilateral clash—will begin on February 25, followed by three ODIs starting March 5, part of the ICC Women’s Championship (2025–29).
T20I Double-Headers: A Unique Experience for Fans
One of the highlights of the calendar will be the T20I double-header series against South Africa, running from March 15 to 25, 2026. These matches will feature both the men’s and women’s teams from New Zealand and South Africa playing back-to-back at the same venues, enhancing fan experience and promoting gender-equal representation in cricket.
After the double-headers, the White Ferns will also play a standalone three-match T20I series against South Africa Women from March 29 to April 4.
