Hazlewood and Green Return to Bolster Squad

Cameron Green’s Comeback After Injury

One of the most anticipated comebacks in this squad is that of Cameron Green, who returns to the Test fold after being sidelined due to a stress fracture in his back since September 2024. Green, who last played a Test against New Zealand, adds all-round depth to the side with his dual ability to score runs and deliver crucial overs.

Josh Hazlewood Strengthens the Bowling Unit

Veteran fast bowler Josh Hazlewood also returns to Australia’s Test squad after being rested during the recent T20I assignments. His precision and experience will be vital on Caribbean pitches, which often favor swing and seam.

Blend of Experience and Emerging Talent

Captain Pat Cummins will lead the side, with support from senior players including Steve Smith, Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Starc, and Usman Khawaja. Alex Carey retains his position as the primary wicketkeeper, while Josh Inglis offers backup and versatility.

Rising Stars: Sam Konstas and Beau Webster

Among the fresh faces are Sam Konstas, who impressed during domestic cricket and made his Test debut against India last year, and Beau Webster, a genuine all-rounder with strong domestic stats. Their inclusion signals Cricket Australia’s long-term vision to groom next-generation cricketers.
