Southern Brave Women (SOB-W) will be facing London Spirit Women (LNS) in the 2nd match of The Women’s Hundred 2022 at The Rose Bowl in Southampton on Friday. Southern Brave topped the group table with seven wins in eight matches and were the most consistent team last season. But they lost the final to Oval Invincibles by 48 runs while chasing a low target of 122 runs. The recently retired international bowler Anya Shrubsole is leading the star-studded squad of Smriti Mandhana, Danielle Wyatt, Sophia Dunkley, and Tahlia McGrath.
London Spirit Women finished the last season in 4th position and failed to qualify for Eliminator on a lower net run rate with Birmingham Phoenix. New skipper Charlie Dean will be leading the squad with world no. 1 batter Beth Mooney and star players Megan Schutt and Amelia Kerr in the arsenal. England skipper Heather Knight will miss the entire tournament with an injury that forced her to miss the 2022 Commonwealth Games as well.
