Former Indian cricketer Kiran Powar has been appointed as the head coach of the West Zone team for the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2025, scheduled to be held in Bengaluru from August 28. The appointment is part of a strategic move to ensure that the West Zone squad is fully prepared for one of India’s most prestigious domestic competitions.
The announcement was made by West Zone convenor Abhay Hadap, who expressed confidence in the newly assembled coaching and support team.

He further added that the specialists bring invaluable experience in cricket coaching, fitness training, physiotherapy, and match analysis, all aimed at helping West Zone aim for Duleep Trophy glory.
