Adam Zampa Reaches 100 Wickets Milestone in T20 Internationals
Adam Zampa achieved his 100th T20I wicket with a brilliant delivery, dismissing Bernard Scholtz. The leg-spinner bowled a flighted googly outside off, and Scholtz attempted a cover drive, leaving a significant gap between his bat and pad.
The ball slipped through and hit the stumps. Zampa finished his spell with remarkable figures of 4/12, showcasing his effectiveness and skill in the match.
Adam Zampa has been in exceptional form in international cricket recently, particularly evident in his performance during the 2023 ODI World Cup. With 23 wickets in 11 matches, he was the tournament’s second-highest wicket-taker, only behind India’s Mohammed Shami.
Zampa’s T20 World Cup journey began in 2016 in India, debuting as a promising 23-year-old. However, it was the 2021 edition where he truly shone, finishing as the second-highest wicket-taker with 13 wickets in seven matches.
His ongoing success in the 2024 T20 World Cup further cements his legacy, showcasing his growth and consistent performance as a top-tier leg-spinner on the global stage.
